Traditional Farming Methods
“Stockhaven” is our family run beef cattle farm located in the beautiful Mary Valley, Queensland. Our family are fifth generation cattle farmers, passionate about the beef industry, the land, and bringing you what we know best – quality, grass fed beef, delivered directly to your door.
We use only pure-bred Angus bulls over Angus cross females for premium marbling and tenderness. All of our cattle are weaned on the farm and put onto improved pasture, with access to quality hay that is grown on the property and direct access to clean quality water from Calico Creek. Being weaned and raised on pasture eliminates any veal flavour, making our beef more flavoursome.
We do not use antibiotics or hormone growth promotents, nor are our cattle force fed in a feedlot. Our cattle have free-range access to lush green grass, beautiful sunshine and clean fresh air and water; resulting in healthy and delicious beef for your family. Only low stress, humane management techniques are used on our property, which helps with the tenderness and colour of the end product – the tastiest beef you will ever enjoy!


Our meat is processed at a Safe Food accredited butcher shop in Maleny. We utilize a cryovacing process (we never freeze the beef), as this ensures the most tender, delicious beef possible. Cryovacing allows the natural enzymes to continue to tenderise the beef whilst sealed, resulting in a mouthwatering, juicy product for your family.
